Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 September 2026
Welcome to Laive. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Laive website, applications, AI-powered conversational experiences and related services (together, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by Laive Technologies Ltd (“Laive”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company incorporated in England and Wales.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, you should not use the Service.
1. About LAIVE
Laive is an AI-native platform that enables personalized, AI-powered conversational and thinking experiences shaped by the perspectives, experiences, knowledge, and ways of thinking of participating experts, mentors, coaches, and other individuals (“Minds”).
Minds may be presented through AI-generated text, voice, avatars, or other conversational interfaces.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, users interacting with a Mind through Laive are interacting with an AI-powered digital representation, rather than communicating directly or live with the represented individual.
Laive is currently in an early-access and pilot stage. The Service and our technology may evolve as we develop the product. Where material changes affect how we process personal data, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional information or choices where required by law.
2. Current Pilot and Early Access
Laive is currently an early-stage product and may be made available through private pilots, invitations, testing programs, or early-access releases.
Certain features may therefore be experimental, incomplete, unavailable, or subject to change. We may introduce, modify, test, suspend, replace, or remove features as the Service develops.
Access is currently provided free of charge unless we expressly state otherwise. We may introduce paid subscriptions, marketplace transactions, or other commercial features in the future. Where appropriate, additional or updated terms will be provided before you make a payment or enter into a paid transaction.
Participation in a pilot, test, or early-access program does not guarantee continued or future access to the Service or any particular feature or Mind.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
The Service is currently intended for users aged 18 or older. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Where an account is required, you must provide accurate and current information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.
You must not impersonate another person, create an account using materially false information, share access in an unauthorized manner, or attempt to gain access to accounts, systems, or areas of the Service that you are not authorized to use.
You should notify us promptly if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect Laive, our users, participating Minds, third parties, or the security and integrity of the Service.
4. AI-Powered Conversations
Laive uses artificial intelligence to create conversational and thinking experiences based on information, materials, perspectives, experiences, and other authorized inputs associated with participating Minds.
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unexpected, misleading, or otherwise differ from what the represented Mind might personally say or recommend in a particular situation.
We do not guarantee that any response is accurate, complete, reliable, or suitable for a particular purpose.
You should use your own judgment when engaging with AI-generated responses and independently verify information where accuracy is important or where a decision may have significant consequences.
5. No Professional Advice
Laive provides AI-powered conversational and thinking experiences shaped by the perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking of participating Minds.
The Service is designed to enable exploration, reflection, perspective-taking, and conversation. It is not intended to provide professional or regulated advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional services.
Laive does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial, investment, tax, accounting, or other regulated professional advice unless expressly stated otherwise.
The fact that a participating Mind may hold professional qualifications or have expertise in a particular field does not mean that your interaction with their AI-powered digital representation creates a professional-client, adviser-client, doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or similar relationship.
You should use your own judgment and, where appropriate, seek advice directly from a suitably qualified professional before making decisions with significant medical, psychological, legal, financial, business, or other consequences.
Laive is not a therapy, mental-health treatment, medical, emergency, or crisis-support service. It should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional care or emergency assistance.
Minds and Digital Representations
Participating Minds may authorize Laive to create and operate AI-powered digital representations using information, interviews, materials, recordings, content, voice, image, likeness, professional experience, and other authorized inputs.
The presence of a Mind on Laive does not mean that the represented individual personally participates in, monitors, reviews, or approves every conversation or generated response.
AI-generated responses are produced dynamically and may not reproduce the exact views, language, judgment, or advice the represented Mind would provide personally in a particular situation.
Laive and/or the relevant Mind may update, modify, restrict, suspend, or remove a digital representation or associated content where appropriate.
You must not knowingly present, publish, or represent AI-generated content as a direct statement, quotation, instruction, endorsement, or personal communication from the represented individual.
Nothing in your access to or use of the Service grants you any right to commercially exploit, imitate, reproduce, or otherwise use a Mind's name, image, likeness, voice, identity, content, or other protected rights except as expressly permitted by Laive or the relevant rights holder.
7. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not use the Service to:
engage in unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, threatening, harassing, or harmful activity;
impersonate another person or falsely represent your identity or affiliation;
falsely attribute AI-generated statements, recommendations, or outputs to a participating Mind;
infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, data-protection, or other rights;
upload, transmit, or introduce malware, malicious code, or other harmful material;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, another user's account, or underlying systems;
circumvent security measures, usage restrictions, access controls, or other technical protections;
systematically scrape, harvest, extract, reproduce, or compile content, conversations, data, or Mind materials without authorization;
use automated systems to access the Service in a manner not expressly permitted by us;
reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive protected elements of the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
use the Service or its outputs to violate the rights of another person; or
interfere with, damage, disrupt, or place an unreasonable burden on the operation, security, or integrity of the Service.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable measures, including restricting or suspending access, where necessary.
8. Intellectual Property
The Laive platform, including its software, technology, systems, models and configurations developed or owned by Laive, branding, interfaces, designs, architecture, features, and other proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to Laive Technologies Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Names, images, likenesses, voices, materials, recordings, content, and other rights relating to participating Minds may belong to the relevant Mind, Laive, or another rights holder and are used subject to applicable rights, licenses, permissions, and agreements.
Unless expressly permitted by these Terms or separately authorized in writing, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, modify, publish, create derivative commercial products from, or commercially exploit protected elements of the Service.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you may use AI-generated outputs made available to you through the Service for lawful personal purposes.
Receiving or accessing an AI-generated output does not grant you ownership of, or rights to commercially exploit, the underlying intellectual property, identity, name, likeness, voice, proprietary materials, or other protected rights of a participating Mind, Laive, or any third party.
9. User Content, Inputs, and Feedback
Information you submit to Laive, including prompts, messages, feedback, survey responses, and other information (“User Content”), remains subject to any rights you hold in that information.
You are responsible for User Content you provide and must have the rights necessary to provide it. You must not knowingly submit unlawful or infringing content.
Providing User Content does not transfer ownership of that content to Laive.
You authorize Laive to process User Content as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, personalize, evaluate, and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Where reasonably necessary, Laive may use interactions, feedback, survey responses, issues, and observations internally to evaluate, optimize, develop, and improve the Service and its conversational experiences.
The handling of personal data, including private conversation data, is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Your participation in pilots, surveys, or feedback activities does not create an employment, partnership, agency, or joint-venture relationship with Laive.
10. Third-Party Services
Laive may rely on third-party technologies and service providers, including cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence and machine-learning services, conversational AI technologies, voice and audio technologies, avatar or digital-human technologies, authentication services, analytics, communications, security, and other technical services.
Certain elements of the Service may therefore depend on systems outside Laive's direct control.
We are not responsible for interruptions or failures caused solely by third-party systems or events outside our reasonable control, although we will take reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of the Service to maintain its operation and security.
Your personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy & Data Protection Policy and in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
Laive is under active development. We do not guarantee that the Service, any particular Mind, conversational experience, or specific feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We may modify, test, replace, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features, Minds, conversational experiences, or other parts of the Service as the product develops.
We may also update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our business, applicable law, or regulatory requirements.
Where changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to notify you or otherwise make the updated Terms available before or when the changes take effect, as appropriate.
The “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms indicates when they were most recently revised.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us.
Our collection, use, storage, and sharing of personal data, including information associated with accounts, conversations, product usage, feedback, and interactions with the Service, is described in our Privacy & Data Protection Policy.
Private conversations are not sold, published, or made publicly available, and Laive does not use private conversation data to train third-party or general-purpose large language models.
That policy also provides information about your data-protection rights and how to contact us about privacy matters.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.
Subject to the above and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Laive does not accept responsibility for loss or damage resulting solely from reliance on inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate AI-generated content; temporary interruption or unavailability of the Service; unauthorized use resulting from your failure to keep account credentials secure; or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by law, Laive will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using the Service.
Because the Service may currently be provided on a pilot, early-access, or experimental basis, you acknowledge that features and AI-generated experiences may change and may not always operate as expected.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, or reasonable costs incurred by Laive as a direct result of your unlawful use of the Service or your material breach of these Terms.
This section does not apply to the extent that a loss or claim results from Laive's own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or protections available to you under applicable consumer law.
15. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access where reasonably necessary, including where you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, create a security or legal risk, infringe the rights of another person, or engage in conduct that may materially harm Laive, participating Minds, other users, or third parties.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may provide notice before taking such action. We may act without prior notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, legal, safety, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Termination of your access does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, and applicable law, will continue to apply.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections provided by the laws of the country in which you live, and nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of those protections.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
